My Two Cents - Two Faced Pretty Rebel Beauty Eye Shadow Palette

Greetings Beauty Aficionados!

Just my quick two cents on one of my favorite palettes.  The Two Faced Pretty Rebel Palette made its debut sometime in June this year.

To follow suite with the other wonderful Two Faced palettes (e.g. Boudoir Eyes, Natural Eye and Matte Eye just to name a few), the pretty rebel palette steals the show with it's vibrant array of colors.

Below are swatches of the first row of colors on 2 different skin tones.

Swatches from left to right in the same order on each hand (Dainty, Charming, Girly, Totally Fetch and Miss Sparkles)

Dainty - Matte yellow color; perfect for highlight on the browbone and/or inner corner of the eye.

Charming - Another matte color (brown); great for the outer corner of the eye to add depth.

Girly -  My absolute favorite of the palette! This is a two-toned green/brown color.  Displays a different color appearance from various angles.  Versatile enough to use as a crease color for blending or on the eye lid by itself or with other complementary colors.

Totally Fetch - A vibrant pink color (2nd favorite of the palette) with some blue undertones.

Miss Sparkles - A black matte color with shimmer.  Another one that could be used on the eye lid (dramatic night look) or outer corner (for depth).

The 2nd set of swatches are from the last row of the palette (also swatched on 2 different skin tones).

These swatches are also from left to right in the same order on each hand (Ringleader, Gangsta,  Instigator, Badass and Jailbird) ***My apologies as the 2nd picture of swatches does not line up identically with the first because of incorrect camera zoom...Sorry!

Ringleader - Frosty pink

Gangsta - A great gold frost; perfect color to create a warm fall look

Instigator - A fabulous gold metallic.  No shadow base necessary as this color stands out on it's own AHHHHHHH (angels singing)!!!!!

Badass - Metallic blue w/shimmer.  I would also consider this a dual color as this appears as purple/blue coloring on lighter skin tones.

Jailbird - A metallic silver

All swatches were done without primer.

This palette is nothing short of amazing.  The colors are similar to the quality of other Two Faced shadows; buttery smooth with a very fine powder texture. The pigmentation is gorgeous.  As you can see from the swatches above, any cream shadow base or primer would give these colors more pop.

Overall, this palette gives you:

  • Versatility -  The ability to create multiple day/night looks from one palettel. Adding a primer or cream shadow only adds more standout power to each color
  • Convenience -  No more reaching for ZPalettes!  If you're in the mood for a simple day or dramatic nighttime look, the pretty rebel palette would be a top choice
  • Value -  This palette retails for $46 and is well worth it.  These are 10 new shadows that may/may not be permanently added to the Too Faced product line.
  • Quality -  Too Faced shadows are already known for there silky smooth texture (almost reminds me of the texture of flour just not as fine but very close) and pigment.  So much so that a little shadow gives great payoff. These are the type of shadows you keep in your collection when you want to intensify your eye makeup with little to no effort.  They blend miraculously with other colors or can be a standout on their own.
Most Standout Color in Palette - Girly

Overall Grade - A++

I'll do a separate post with pictures of a few looks I created from this palette. Until next time, happy shopping!!
