What I'm Loving....UD Electric Palette and Maybelline 24HR Color Tattoo (Caramel Cool)

Hey Beauty Gems!!!

How are you?? I missed you guys.  Welcome to another installment of Thursdays "What I'm Loving".  So today (well actually for the last few weeks) I've been loving the Urban Decay (UD) Electric Palette and Maybelline's 24HR Color Tattoo in Caramel Cool.  So let's start with Caramel Cool.  This color tattoo is simply beautiful.

I've been using this at least 2-3 times a week.  I love the golden peach color this gives to your lid.  There are so many different ways you can wear this product.  You can wear it alone or top it off with your favorite shadow.  I find that any gold or peach based shadow just goes from 0 to 10 with this. Feeling a little adventurous...top it off with a great orange shadow. Just trust me, you'll love it. It retails for about $5.99 (depending on your location) and can be found in most drugstores.  It wasn't the easiest for me to find>>> SO GIRL IF YOU FIND IT>>>>>BUUUYYY IITTTT!!!!

Rounding out this week's segment is the UD Electric Palette. Yes, I know this was one of my May Must Haves.

I'm sorry, I just can't say enough great things about it.  This palette is amazing times 10!!!  Don't let the bright and bold color fool you.  You can create the simplest to the most dramatic looks from this palette.  The more I play around with the palette, the more my creative juices get flowing.   It's just a matter of taking it one color (or 2 or 3) at a time and creating looks. The colors are crazy blendable, amazing color (just what did you expect from UD) and are very long lasting.  For example, take a look at my eye make from today after 14 hrs of wear.....

Never budged!!! UD just keeps raising the standard for amazing eye color.  If you haven't checked out this palette in person, take a trip to your nearest Ulta or Sephora. Ask an associate to help you dive into this palette.  I promise you won't leave the store without it.

That's all for today beauty gems.  Just a quick update....working on getting my Facebook page revised over the weekend.  The plan is to have it set up by next weekend so stay tuned.  I also plan to do more posts of looks on Instagram (I'm so bad at that).  Just been busy and my camera has been in a mood and not cooperating.

Anyway, enough about my drama.  Still stay tuned for the latest and greatest on all things beauty by following me via Pinterest and Twitter @AngBeauty411.

I love you guys and as always...happy shopping!!!!

Ang's Fav Spring/Summer Lipsticks for 2014 - Drugstore Edition (Part II)

Hola Beauty Gems!

As promised, I'm delivering part II of my fav spring/summer lippies from the drugstore. Narrowing down the options has been really hard.  Everytime I thought I was good with the choices, I just changed my mind all over again. Just tonight I brought some more and found new loves...ughhh.  At some point, just have to cut things off (the list that is not my beauty obsessions with more lipsticks).  Anyway on to the next set of favorites.

All of the following lipsticks are from the Maybelline Color Sensational line.  Since I discovered Maybelline Color Sensational (CS) a few years back, I've been hooked.  Maybelline hit a home run with this line of lipsticks.  I'm so very happy for the success and that they've continued to add more color options.  You really can't beat the quality and price of these lipsticks.  So here's what I love:

Let's begin with my everyday go-to and absolute favorite Magnificent Mauve (430). By far, for me one of the best colors from the Maybelline CS line.

This beautiful mauve is so versatile and can go very well with pretty much all skin tones.  It's a cool tone color but not too extreme that lighter skin tones can't easily wear this.  I've had days where I've thrown this on in the car with no lip liner and been good for hours.  Pair this with a lip liner and the color is in for the long haul.  Even better, absolutely a color you can wear year round. Ahhh...I just can't say enough.

Next is Fuchsia Fever (140); the bright beauty of the bunch. Don't be shy strutting your stuff in this lipstick. Talk about a statement maker!!  This color is not AS versatile as the previous one.  While most skin tones can wear the color, the blue undertone can make need for very fair or dark skin tones to tone this down by pairing with another lipstick and/or lip liner.  Otherwise, it's amazing. As well, this color is primarily ideal for spring/summer season.  Go ahead and show off your inner "Barbie" in this showstopper.
My next top lipstick is Mauve It Up (440). Another selection from the Plums CS collection. Another mauve just with a sheen finish.  A great alternative I gravitate to when I want a more noticeable finish without gloss. An absolute 365 day option that's GORGEOUS!!!

Now let's get into Party Pink (155).  Party Pink is one of those shades that can appear lighter or darker from day to night. For daytime, it's a beautiful mauvy pink that pairs well with a subdued daytime or beauty queen extreme eye look. There's no liner needed with this pink jewel of color.

Moving right along to Brazen Berry (905).  Form the CS Brights collection.....it's purple power!!  I purchased this color last August.  The first thing I said to myself was "a signature color that I'll have and love for a very long time".  Brazen Berry has summer written all over it.  My lip swatch looks totally different then the swatch from my arm (that's the most accurate one).  While this color isn't necessarily bright, it's still very bold.  You can tone it down with a lighter application but not by much.

We're down to the final 2 which are from the Maybelline Color Elixir collection.  These were the first 2 I purchased when the collection was released. First we have Vision in Violet (040).  I just can't get enough of the purple/plum colors.  This elixir goes on smooth and evenly leaving excellent coverage with a single application. Less is more in this case.....it packs an immediate punch.  The packaging is very sleek, compact and easy to travel with.  I love it!!!

So we're ending our drugstore series of lippies with Raspberry Rhapsody (030). Such a sweet berry beauty.  I like this for the bright, glossy finish.  As well, it's just enough color without being too much.  I wear this when I want a statement color without being overpowering.

Well gems that wraps up my fav spring/summer lipstick drugstore series.  Thank you thank you for taking the time to stop by and tune in for my 411.  It's greatly appreciated for every minute you take time to read my posts.  It's greatly appreciated.

I'll be posting a shorter high-end series within the next few days.  Trying to get a few days worth of blogs done so you gems will have a daily dose while I'm on vacation!!!  With that said, make sure you stay in the know with the latest beauty dish by following me via Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest @AngBeauty411.

Enjoy the rest of your evening and as always....happy shopping gems!!!

CVS Mini Haul

Hello Beauty Gems -

First off, let me say "Happy Valentine's Day" (almost an hour late) to you all.  I appreciate each and every one of you that take time to stop by and read my blog randomness.  You are wonderful, beautiful people that I adore and am very thankful for...your the besties!!! I hope all is well with all my gems.  I've been braving the annoying, horrific snow storms hitting the east coast. I'm sooo not a fan of winter.  I can say the consensus in my area is "I'm over it already!!!"  Anywho, what's a gem to do when your snowed in under 15 inches of snow???? Blog I guess.  So here is goes....

I paid a visit to me local CVS store today (once I dug out my baby).  I'm running low on alot of beauty things.  Just trying to wait it out because I want to do one big trip to Ulta/Sephora.  I do so to ensure I take advantage of my points and any coupons. So let's dig in to what I picked up...

First off, let's start with primers.  You gems have heard all the craze over YouTube and other social media about these 2 primers....Maybelline Baby Skin & Rimmel Stay Matte Primer.  OMG...could this be my late Christmas wish coming true??? Finding a drugstore primer that satisfies ALL my needs??? REALLY?? Hmmm we'll see soon enough.  Word on the street is that both of these are great contenders with their high-end competitors. I dunno Benefit Porefessional is a beast...love of my beauty life!!! I'm up for the challenge though. Primer review coming soon.

Next in line is....Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Glosses.  So I only picked up 4 of the 12 in the total collection.  I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.  What was I supposed to do.  Everytime I see a new make-up (MU) product that's on sale....it's a wrap....sold!!!  At least I've narrowed down my MU obsessions to lip gloss and foundation, right??? Ohhhhh He&&&& no!!  My MU obsession reaches all realms of beauty....just staying true to my vices.  Anywho......I picked up these beauties because I just couldn't resist....Berry Tempting, Ravish Rapsberry, Luminous AND Mauve Fetish.  They look absolutely GORG in a packaging.  Review on these to follow soon.

Rounding out my haul with the Rimmel ScandalEyes Fiber Formula Show Off Mascara.  Everywhere I turn, everybody and their mother has a new "volumuous" mascara.  Ummm NEWS FLASH....I'm speaking for the minority that have the tiny, no-show lashes that need length AND volume (hence why I wear falsies all day, everyday).  Lately, I've been on this Rimmel kick...see my latest "What I'm Loving Blog" on another Rimmel fav. I've purchased another new Rimmel mascara....Review on that coming soon.

Well gems, that completes today's haul.  Be sure to stay up to date with the latest and greatest by following me via Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest @AngBeauty411.

Till next time......Happy Shopping!!!!!

A Few of My Favorite Things.... Best of Beauty 2013 Drugstore PART II

Hey Beauty Gems-

As promised, here's part 2 of my favorite drugstore products in 2013. This blog will include lip, foundation, mascara and eye liner products. I didn't want to make this blog too long.  I narrowed it down to just a few in each category. Let's begin shall we.....first on to lips.....

Lipsticks

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Colors -  Maybelline you really brought your 'A' game with these.  The color sensational lipsticks are wonderful. They are by far one of the best drugstore lipsticks I've used. These lipsticks apply smoothly to the lips, leaving them with a soft, non-drying feel and great color payoff. As well, Maybelline has a variety of colors (62 in all) to suit all beauty gems. Even better, you get a great lipstick at an affordable price. P.S. - Much love to the new "The Buffs" collection they just released..I'm head over heels for them.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick - Another great and affordable drugstore brand. You can choose from 36 colors that include matte, pearl, shimmer and cream finishes. These lipsticks also have great color pay-off and long wearing. Milani offers other great products including their baked blush and lip glosses. Only downside - The matte colors can be a little drying.  However, just adding some extra balm to your lips before your lipstick will solve that issue.

Wet N Wild  MegaLast Lip Color - Rounding out my favs of 2013 is the wonderful Wet N Wild.  This is a great product for gems on a budget that want a good, inexpensive lipstick.  These lipsticks can be easily found in most drug stores, have a variety of colors for all taste (26 colors in all) and have a sister lipstick with SPF 15 MegaLast Lip Color SPF 15 . These lip colors contain Vitamin E, Amino Acids, Avocado Oil, and Rice Bran Oils that provide moisture to your lips.  With great pigmentation and long-lasting wear, a super value you just cannot pass up. Whichever option you choose, you won't be disappointed.

Lip Glosses

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Glosses -Similar to it's lip color counterpart, the Maybelline CS glosses are really nice.  They apply smoothly to the lips and have vibrant color.  These along with the CS lip colors are a great couple for achieving spectacular lip color. The formula is non-sticky so the colors can sometimes be easily transferable.  However, if you're looking for an inexpensive gloss that gives you true color....this is it. You have 24 colors to chose from (12 Vibrant High Shine colors; 12 Pink Perfection).

Lip Liners

Jordana Lip Liner -  If you don't already know about these then let me give you the 411.  Another best kept drugstore beauty find.  These are one of the best drugstore lip liners I've every used.  The retractable lip liners give you great color and last a long time. Although they only come in 12 colors; they are so versatile that they compliment a variety of lip colors.  For an average cost of $1.99 each, these are a slam dunk deal!!!

Eyeliners

Jordana 12HR Eye Pencils - I feel in love with these the instant I used them.  The long-wearing eye pencils glide on with so much ease and DON'T SMUDGE.  The colors are vibrant and compliment most day/night looks.  The only downside is that currently they only offer 6 colors to choose from.  Fingers crossed that Jordana decides to expand this line because these are a winner in my book, anytime!

Jordana INCOLOR Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner -  If you're looking for an inexpensive eyeliner to practice your cat eye skills with, this is it.  The slim tip applicator applies liner smoothly to your eyes making the art of liquid eye liner simple. I've found other favorites to use and haven't used this liner in a little while.  However, it's a must have in my makeup kit. The only downside is that it's not waterproof but I've never had issue with smearing/fading.  For $2.99 each, it's another great Jordana deal.

Mascara

L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara - All I can say is.....it's WONDERFUL.  You get volume, deep color without any flaking or clumping.  Another bonus...L'Oreal has expanded this line so if you want something more waterproof or longer lasting, they've got it.

Jordana Best Lash Extreme- This beauty delivers with giving your lashes all the volume you need.  While it claims that it doesn't clump, it actually does (at least for me).  As well, if you apply too much, it can make your lashes hard. With a few applications (and even combining with another lengthening mascara) you can achieve the look you want and more. For $2.99, it's a steal.

In 2013, I learned about alot of drugstore brands that produce great products.  It's comforting to know that I don't ALWAYS have to use the high end products to get the results I want. For 2014, I hope to expand my list of "best" to include more drugstore foundations and primers.

Well gems that concludes my best of 2013 list.  I've already began ordering some other new releases for spring/summer (check out my Pinterest/Twitter/Instagram posts).  I can't wait to dish the 411 with you on those...STAY TUNED!!!

As always, be sure to follow me on all my social media sites.  Until next time....Happy Shopping!!!!

Thursday - What I'm Loving Today

Hello My Beautiful Beauty Gems -

So today I wanted to go back to something I started previously. I got away from it due to all the holiday mayhem. Each Thursday, I'll do a quick blurb about products I'm loving.  Just a little something short and sweet. Thought it might be helpful to BGems on the go, headed to the store and trying to decide on product purchases.

For today, I'm loving is Maybelline Color Elixir by Color Sensational in Vision In Violet . The elixirs made there debut a few months ago.  I recently had the opportunity to pick up a few as a result of a great BOGO 50% off sale...Thanks Walgreens!! The colors are gorg and feel great on the lips. The verdict is still out since I need to still test it's lasting power throughout the day.  Here's a picture of me wearing this today.

I'm sensing that this could be a potential spring/summer go-to gloss...we shall see!!!

You can find these in most drugstores. To view all the available colors, click on the link above to the Maybelline website.

Until next time....Happy Shopping!!!!

Walgreens Haul

Hello Beauty Gems....

Last week I did a quick haul at Walgreens. I had a chance to pick up some new and not so new products. I snagged some goodies from Rimmel, Wet N Wild and Maybelline. Sooooo
here's the 411 on what I grabbed...

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara - I haven't tried this yet but VERY interested to see if it holds up to its claim of "Bold, No Clumps" mascara..FIrst Impression (FI) coming soon....

Rimmel Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner - Ok sooo I've tried this ONCE so far and really like it. Of course I'll keep my final review on reserve after at least a full week of use. However, what I can tell, so far at least, is that the liner pen is thin enough to give you great control when applying and it's WATERPROOF.....ahhhh!!!! I don't know about u gems but I can safely say that with watery, itchy eyes like mine, I need products that wear well throughout my testy, allergy moments.

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in 301 Galaxy - Rimmel launched these lip glosses last summer. I saw them
and just passed them in the drugstore aisle way mainly because....I love my high-end glosses so if a drugstore. If a lip gloss REALLY and truly wants to impress me....they betta bring it!!! Nough said....FI coming soon!!!

Nexttttt on to Wet N Wild....

WNW Creme Eyeliner in 34348 Gunmetal Grape - Awwww it's my first time breaking in a WNW creme liner!!!! Special Moment occurring in 5...4...3...2..1...please pause for 2 seconds to observe lol...Review to follow on this soon!

WNW Vicious Varnish High Shine Lip Stain - I'm always into trying new drugstore products so these were no exception. FI coming soon on this as well.

Lastly, just a not-so-new product from Maybelline...

Maybelline Exilirs in 030 Raspberry Rhapsody & 040 Vision in Violet - Soo word on the street from some of the industry mags and cosmetic products lines is that Orchid is the new "trend color" of 2014. Of course, I had to pick up these specific colors!!! What gem would be caught without these colors for spring/summer 2014!!!! I'll let u know the 411 once I have a chance to try them out.

So that's all for me...I have my review homework cut out for me. Keep your eyes peeked for other new products sold in your local drugstores.

In the meantime in between time, I'll keep you posted on da lastest and greatest...until next time gems...happy shopping!!!!
